We are so proud of our Alumni!

Many of our incredible students have gone on to professional performing arts careers. ESDA students have performed on major cruise lines, in Washington DC's Cherry Blossom Parade, at the Centre of Salisbury, in Delmarva Shorebirds games, at Walt Disney World, and in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City!

Our students have gone on to become professional instructors in the performing arts industry.
 
ESDA alumni also volunteer their time to perform at local nursing homes such as Mallard Bay and Pleasant Day. 

ABBIGAIL TYLER

Abbigail Tyler has attended the Eastern Shore Dance Academy for 5 year and has been a member of the Cambridge Ballet Company for 3 years. In the Cambridge Ballet Company Abbigail has maintained roles such as Clara, Columbine, Rosebud, Baker, Toy Soldier, Snow, and Flower in CBC’s annual production of "The Nutcracker". She also attended many musical theatre intensives such as Maryland Summer Center for the Arts.  Ms. Tyler also recently performed on the Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas Cruise Line. She attended East Carolina Univeristy and has transfered to Salisbury University where she is majoring in musical theater. Abbi is also a member of the Salisbury University Dance Company. She recently auditioned to be a performer at Disney and made it to the top 10 out of hundreds of people.

"Dancing has become a very important part of my life. It is a way of expression and a major asset to my future career."


JADE KENNEY

Jade Kenny has been dancing for only 8 years. She started her training at Dance Center in Salisbury where she danced for 4 years and then left Salisbury to study at the Eastern Shore Dance Academy for the past 4 years. She has been a member of the Cambridge Ballet Company for 3 years and held the roles of Rat king, Spanish and Rosebud in "The Nutcracker". She attended the Kirov Academy of Ballet in 2006 for a summer intensive and also a workshop for the world famous Radio City Rockettes. Jade performed on the Royal Caribbean Cruise ship along with other Eastern Shore Dance Academy students in January of 2009. She has been crowned Miss Free State America, Miss. Annapolis, Miss. Alabama and competes in many other pagents where her talent is ballet. She was awarded best talent in the Miss. Maryland Competition in 2012. 

Jade graduated from the University of Alabama where she will majored in Sports Broadcasting. While in Alabama, she danced on the University of Alabama's dance team, "The Crimson Cabaret".  Jade will miss dancing and learning with her close friends. In 2013 she became a Washington Wizards dancer,  She is currently in her fourth year as a Redskins cheerleader.

Jade thanks Ms. Jessica for not only teaching her how to dance but for being such a great friend and pushing her to follow her dreams.  


CHALICE HOWARD

Chalice Howard started her pre-professional dance training at the Eastern Shore Dance Academy in the fall of 2004, after several years of recreational instruction. Ms. Howard also took classes at the Salisbury Studio of Dance for one year under the instruction of Elena Manakhova-Amy. She attended summer intensives such as Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts, Ballet Magnificat and Eastern Shore Dance Academy’s own summer intensive. Chalice taught at ESDA for three years and has truly found her passion for dance in imparting it to children. She has spent a summer with an urban ministry in New York City, that allowed her to work with inner-city children by developing loving and nurturing relationships as well as giving dance instruction on a daily basis.  

Chalice attends Palm Beach Atlantic University where she will major in Cross-Cultural/Urban Studies and continue to pursue her love for the arts by minoring in dance. Chalice loves teaching and inspiring young people to use their dance ability with passion to influence the community in a positive way. Her life long goal is continue her work in dance ministry and community outreach through long-term work in the orphanages of Uganda. 


RACHEL HARDING

Rachel began her training at ESDA 4 years ago with no previous experience. Dance immediatley became her passion! She longed to become a professional dancer. In 2012 she graduated from high school and was awarded the top dance scholarship at her college in Ohio. We wish Rachel the best in her future! 


RACHEL RICHARDSON

Rachel Richardson has been dancing her entire life. ESDA has been her 2nd home for the past 6 years. Rachel has been a great role model to other dancers with her hard work and determination. Since graduating from CSDHS she is cotinuing her dance education where she will be minoring dance in Pennsylvania. She recently auditioned to joing their dance company and was accpeted out fo 90 dancers! We are so proud of her & all of her accomplishments!  


VICTORIA DOYLE 

Victoria Doyle started dance 5 years ago at the Eastern Shore Dance Academy. She performed with ESDA at Disney World, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Shorebirds Stadium & more! She was awarded a full scholarship for a one week summer camp through the Maryland Council for Dance. She has also been crowned Miss. Outdoors of 2013.After graduating she is attending Salisbury University and was accepted into the Salisbury Univeristy Dance Company. We look forward to seeing her in the future!


MARIANGELA SCOTTO

Mariangela has danced at ESDA for the past 8 years. A lovely lady who everyone loved & wanted to be around! Mariangela recently graduated and is attending Chesapeake College.


JORDAN HYDE

Jordan has been dancing for many years. She continues to still train under the direction of Mrs. Hindman-Wheatley as well as taking classes in NYC over the summer and workshops such as the Maryland Council for Dance. Miss. Jordan has also danced on the Royal Caribean Cruise ship, in Disney World, Delmarva Shorebirds game and was in the 2012 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Miss. Hyde is also a member of the Cambridge Ballet Company. Jordan attends Old Dominion University and is on the ODU Dance Team.


HALEY BAUMGARTNER

Haley has been training at ESDA under the direction of Mrs. Hindman-Wheatley for 7 years. Ms. Baumgartner also continues to take classes over the summer in NYC at the Broadway Center of Dance. She was a member of the Cambridge Ballet Company for several years where she has performed many lead rolls such as "Clara" and "Sugarplum" from the ballet "The Nutcracker." Miss. Haley has also danced on the Royal Caribean Cruise ships at the Delmarva Shorebirds Game and also in Disney World. Haley taught at ESDA for four years. Now that she has graduated she is going to continue to seek wherever God may take her. 


CARLYLE COLLISON

Carlye is one of our advanced students here at ESDA. She has assisted Mrs. Jessica years now and is in her third season as a dance teacher. Miss. Carlye has studied under the direction of Mrs. Jessica and has also studied at several top schools such as the Joffrey Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. She has danced with ESDA on the Royal Caribbean cruise lines and in Walt Disney World. Carlyle has been awarded scholarships through the Maryland Council for Dance for 3 years. Miss Carlyle loves sharing her passion with our younger dancers.


SHELBY ELLIOTT

Shelby started her dance training at ESDA where she learned to love the art of dance. Shelby attends Chesapeake College where she is studying early childhood education. She has been an instructor at ESDA for one dance season and will be starting her second season with us while teaching our younger students. We look forward to many years to come!
